TRS Staffing Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Planner/Scheduler (Intermediate/Senior) role to work for an amazing EPCM client in Vancouver, BC. This is a long term contract position that comes with great opportunity to work on medium to large sized Mining projects.

Salary range: $60 - $80/hour

Responsibilities:
  • Create and manage project schedules, including level I, II, and III schedules, as well as look-ahead schedules.
  • Develop detailed schedules with resource allocation using tools like Primavera P6 and troubleshoot and resolve any scheduling issues that arise.
  • Prepare Level 4 or 5 schedules as needed for construction requirements.
  • Work closely with construction teams to ensure accurate execution and consistent scheduling approaches.
  • Generate progress reports, charts, and S-curves for design, procurement, and construction phases.
  • Combine various project schedules into a master schedule, establish baselines, and track performance.
  • Create Gantt charts and milestone reports to monitor project progress.
  • Assist management in project planning, tracking, and analysis.
  • Keep detailed records and facilitate internal weekly schedule reviews.
  • Prepare Time Impact Analysis reports for any changes or delays.
 Requirements
  • Accredited four-year degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field.
  • Ten years of work-related experience (fourteen years if non-degreed).
  • Solid knowledge of scheduling software and terminology (Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project).
  • Practical experience with automated cost or schedule management systems.
  • Strong interpersonal, facilitation, organizational, analytical, verbal, and writing skills.
  • Subject matter expertise in using Primavera P6 for managing master schedules and detailed schedules.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
  • Familiarity with earned value methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience managing engineering, procurement, and construction schedules.
  • Adaptability to handle multiple requests and embrace change initiatives.
