This position reports to the Site Automation Manager (aka Site IT Manager) and assists, supports and administers the basic computing environment on the project site. The position relies primarily on established policies, procedures, and applicable work practices to make decisions as they apply to the job duties and responsibilities.

PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 First line technical support for IT systems (hardware, software, network)
 Assist with submitting various user requests to the different corporate IT teams.
 May create/revise/distribute electronic and hard-copy user guides and prepare email notifications to internal customers.
 Perform PC equipment install/move/add/change requests as required.
 Image and Re-image tablets, laptops and desktops as required.
 Submit requests to add people to required Active Directory security groups.
 Inventory management of site devices such as two-way radios, tablets, laptops and desktops along with other accessories and peripherals using the established asset management procedure.
 Provide troubleshooting and support for Two-Way Radios, Access Control System, CCTV, and Badging systems as required.
 Act as a liaison for co-workers to the Enterprise Help Desk.
 Escalate issues to the Enterprise Help Desk, and other IT teams, when required and manage issues to resolution.
 Assist users in setting up corporate email on mobile devices such as cell phones and tablets.
 Provide guest account access to visitors and contractors when requested.
 Track, update and close user submitted tickets.
 Maintain clear and consistent communication with Site Automation Manager.
 Other duties as requested by the Site Automation Manager.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS – RELATED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

 Minimum of Grade 12 education. Post-secondary certificate or diploma in a computer related subject preferred.
 4 to 7 years’ experience of supporting personal computers.
 Basic skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).
 Familiarity with mobile devices (Android and iOS) and web-based applications.
 Experience troubleshooting personal computers, basic network issues, tablets and smartphones.
