Southern California TRS Staffing Solutions are seeking an experienced IT Technician on a contract hire basis to join our client's EPC team based in Aliso Viejo, CA, please review the list of responsibilities and qualifications:
Job Duties:
- This position assists and supports others in a department, subdivision, function, or project.
- The position relies primarily on established policies, procedures, and applicable work practices to make decisions as they apply to the job duties and responsibilities.
- The role of the Information Technology (IT) Technician is to support and maintain in-house computer systems, desktops, and peripherals. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance. The person will also troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end user training and assistance where required.
This is an entry-level position and typically works on basic problems with direct supervision.
Job Requirement:
- Provide a single point of contact for end users to receive support and maintenance
- Troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via e-mail) in a timely and accurate manner
- Apply knowledge within technical manuals, procedural documentation, and original equipment manufacturer guides
- Install, configure, diagnose, repair and upgrade all personal computer hardware and equipment, according to department policies, while ensuring its optimal performance
- Maintain, distribute, install, configure, repair, and upgrade various electronic products, according to department policies, while ensuring their optimal performance
- Document instances of hardware failure, repair, installation, and removal
- Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards
- Plan, organize, and carry out assignments as directed
- Adhere to and support the company’s Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies
- Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job
- Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality
- Other duties as assigned
Typical Minimum Qualifications - Related Education, Experience & Skills
- A combination of education and directly related experience equal to no required years; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
- Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
- Generally favorable indoor office workspace, and/or;
- Various levels of environmental conditions including but not limited to project worksites and vendor/client facilities which may have temporary office space, moving mechanical parts and vibration; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles and extreme temperatures and high noise levels
