Job Title: Assistant Cost Manager MEP

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Cost Manager to join our client's team. Our client is one of the leading Project Management MNCs in the world. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience in quantity surveying (QS), cost management, budgeting, and billing, specifically within residential projects. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Management: Oversee and manage all aspects of cost management for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems in residential projects.
- Quantity Surveying: Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and prepare bills of quantities.
- Budgeting: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and financial efficiency.
- Billing: Prepare and review contractor and subcontractor billing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contract terms.
- Cost Reporting: Generate regular cost reports and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to project stakeholders.
- Contract Management: Assist in the preparation and management of contracts, including negotiation and administration.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate cost-related risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams.
- Compliance: Ensure all cost management activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in MEP cost management within residential projects.
- Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles and practices.
- Proficiency in cost management software and tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
