We currently seek a high caliber Civil Engineer (1-3 years) for a direct hire basis within our client’s team of experienced professionals. Based in Los Angeles, CA.
Job Description
We are seeking a Civil Engineer with one to three years of experience in civil engineering/land development, including site layouts, grading plans, storm-water management facilities, water quality best management practices, and site utility design, to join the Los Angeles office. The successful candidate will have a desire to work and grow with a multi-disciplinary engineering team and have experience that ranges from preliminary design through construction.
Basic Job Requirements
• Must be a self-starter, persistent, and follow through in a consistent manner
• Passionate about the client or pursuit and takes ownership of his/her work
• Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment (or demonstrate ability to develop such abilities)
• Possess strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical abilities (or demonstrate ability to develop such abilities).
• Maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers
• Basic understanding of A/E/C industry terminology and procedures and basic marketing principles
• Strong organizational ability; detail oriented; high degree of accuracy
• Must work well under pressure
• Positive contributor to overall office and department goals, culture, and morale
• Excellent time management skills
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Civil Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.)
• 1-3 years of professional experience in the design of commercial, office, mixed-use, residential, municipal, and Federal projects
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Technical experience with hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, technical studies, earthwork calculations, preparation and processing of public improvement and grading plans
• Experience coordinating with a multi-disci
