Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation of project site, utility and development plans and permitting efforts for the following project types:
- Linear Pipeline and Utility Design
- Drinking Water Distribution
- Sanitary Sewer Collection and Conveyance
- Stormwater Collection and Conveyance
- Stormwater Management and Site Design
- Linear Pipeline and Utility Design
- Stormwater Retention and Detention Design
- Stream Restoration Design
- Low-Impact Development (LID) Designs
- Civil Site Development and Grading Design
- Commercial
- Industrial
- Residential
- Municipal Water & Wastewater Treatment Process and System Design
- Industrial Wastewater and System Process Design
- Civil Site Development and Grading Design
- Oversee and manage engineering field survey work, site visits, flagging and staking for data collection and verification of existing conditions.
- Conduct site visits for construction observation and technical support
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and professionals of the project and perform other typical project management duties
- Oversee and perform civil design activities using knowledge of relevant software programs
- Assist in the preparation of technical reports, permitting applications, construction estimates and schedules.
- Assist with regulatory compliance efforts
- Manage work assignments on a day-to-day basis accurately and on-schedule
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Engineering Director.
- B.S. Civil or Environmental Engineering from accredited program
- Professional Registration – SC Professional Engineering Registration (PE) or ability to obtain within 12 months.
- 4+ years of engineering design experience
- 1+ years of project management experience
- Experience with design, permitting and oversight of civil and environmental projects, with preference for experience related to municipal and industrial infrastructure.
- Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD Civil3D
- Proficiency in the use of other Civil Engineering design software (TR-55, HEC-RAS, WaterCAD, HydroCAD, etc.)
- Basic understanding of GIS Software (ESRI-ArcPRO)
- Microsoft Office / Google Suites proficiency (Word, Excel, Sheets, Docs, etc.)
