Position: Civil Engineering Department Manager/Office Executive
Location: Charlotte, NC
Salary: $150k-$180k + annual bonus + benefits + relocation
Overview:
As the Civil Engineering Department Manager/Office Executive, you will be responsible for leading and growing our Cornelius office. You will oversee a team of talented professionals, foster client relationships, and drive profitable growth within the Charlotte and Piedmont Carolinas region.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Oversee and mentor a team of department managers, project managers, engineers, technicians, and support staff.
- Business Development: Develop and maintain strong client relationships to expand our market presence and secure new business opportunities.
- Strategic Planning: Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities and diversify our service offerings.
- Team Management: Foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment that encourages innovation and teamwork.
- Financial Performance: Drive profitability and growth by setting and achieving ambitious goals.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the delivery of high-quality engineering services and deliverables that meet client expectations.
- Operations Management: Oversee office operations, including project management, financial reporting, and contract administration.
- Community Engagement: Establish and maintain relationships with local stakeholders, including government officials and industry professionals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or equivalent
- PE licensure in NC (or ability to obtain PE within 3 months of hire), PLA/RLA, or AICP
- Proven track record of leading and managing engineering teams
- Strong business development and client relationship management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to drive growth and profitability in a competitive market
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and project management methodologies
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools
