Commissioning Rotary Machinery Specialist

Summary
   
Provide the necessary assistances and advises to Commissioning Superintendents, including cordinating with Client and Vendor /Licensors, Supervisors and Subcontractor workers to commission various systems of the Project according to the detailed Commissioning schedule, approved Procedures, approved Safe Work Method Statements and task specific Job Hazard Analysis.


Responsibilities

Assisting and advising Commissioning Superintendents with Commissioning and rotary machinery knowledge, those are overseeing Commissioning Supervisors.
  • Lube oil flushing.
  • Alignment of rotary machinery.
  • Line-up and coordination of run-in of rotating equipment, including test-runs and witnessing.
  • Function testing of equipment.
  • Tightness testing and inerting of rotary machinery.
  • Drying of cryogenic equipment using dry air or nitrogen.
  • Coordination with other functions such as Safety Advisors, Construction and vendor specialists.
  • Inspect / witness and sign inspections test records and ensure they are completed and recorded as per site procedures.
  • Coordinating with preservation team on the rotary machinery preservation.
  • Close out punch list items / inspection test reports.
  • Effective coordination with Construction and Operations teams for smooth Commissioning and handover.    

Qualifications
 
  • Minimum 5 years, preferably more than 7 years, of working experience of the disciplines applied for either in Oil/Gas production facilities, power plants or chemical plant for either of operation / maintenance / engineering / commissioning.
  • Willing to carry out field supervision works on shift, when requested. 
  • Demonstrated experience with In-the-field commissioning works.
  • Demonstrated experience with engineering works of rotary machinery, preferably with historical knowledge of coordination with rotary machinery vendors of project.
  • High level experience with interface and coordination with vendor specialists, Construction and Operations personnel.
  • Demonstrated experience with safety management systems - Permit to Work, HAZOPs, SIMOPS, SWMS, JHAs, incident reporting and investigations.
  • Strong focus on Quality and Assurance processes.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft.
