We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Manager in Edmonton, AB to oversee the construction of multi-family housing and large-scale projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise all on-site construction activities
- Ensure project completion within timelines and budget
- Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans
- Allocate resources efficiently and track inventory
- Oversee the compliance of construction activities with legal regulations and safety standards
- Conduct quality control checks and coordinate inspections
- Communicate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and clients
- Resolve any problems that may arise and provide solutions to ensure project continuity
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Site Superintendent or similar role; minimum 5 years
- Extensive knowledge of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles
- Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
- Good knowledge of MS Office and construction/project management software
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Problem-solving aptitude
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field is preferred
