JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preparation of the project schedule per project and assisting and guiding in managing project timelines.
- Manage High-end residential project sites on a daily basis.
- Review the project plans and specifications and comment on the building design, scheduling, possible cost savings measures and potential construction problems.
- Collaborating with architects, engineers, management and inspectors to ensure that projects are completed safely and effectively and within the stipulated timelines.
- Preparing site reports and site diaries for Management daily, weekly, monthly & as required.
- Liaising with management and staff about the ordering of materials and plant hire.
- Adherence to the NHBRC (and enrolled as a technical manager), council & HOA Building regulations. Ensure quality workmanship.
- Control and monitor labour, material and equipment expenses.
- Ensure all required NHBRC and municipal inspections are performed.
- Monitoring and managing project risks and developing & implementing risk mitigation plans as needed.
QUALIFICATION & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree or BTech in Construction Management.
- A minimum of 2-3 years’ construction management experience required in residential property development.
- Residential Construction Management: 2 - 3 years (preferred) minimum
- Suitable IT skills (Microsoft 365 literacy is non-negotiable).
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Driven attitude to get work done and motivated to achieve goals.
- Planning, admin and organizational skills essential.
- Own reliable transport required.
- Company vehicle for site use and cell phone provided.
