Role Responsibilities
- Exploration and Tenement Management: Collaborate with stakeholders, communicate technical info, and build relationships with authorities, landowners, and communities.
- Subcontractor Supervision: Manage subcontractors, vendors, and site labor to ensure efficient work and adherence to project timelines.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols, environmental regulations, and industry standards. Conduct safety meetings and site inspections.
- Schedule Management: Monitor and adjust project schedules to accommodate conditions and challenges. Ensure milestones are met.
- Communication: Liaise between the Perth Project Team, technical advisors, quality team, and subcontractors. Provide regular project updates.
- Problem-Solving: Resolve on-site issues, including performance, material delivery delays, and site access challenges. Communicate and implement project changes.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project progress, safety inspections, and incidents. Submit reports to the Project Director.
- Thorough understanding of large mining construction projects and remote/challenging environments.
- Ability to fulfill Senior Site Executive (SSE) requirements as per Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022.
- Experience or ability to be appointed site Quarry Manager as per Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Trade Certificate in heavy industry, construction, or mining.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage on-site teams and subcontractors.
- White Card and valid Driver’s license.
- Ability to work on a 15/13 FIFO roster with flexibility as the project progresses.
