Construction Superintendent

Our client is a major player in the construction industry and are seeking a Construction Superintendent to join their team in Vancouver, BC. In this role you will be reporting directly to the Director of Field Operations and will be responsible to carry-out and deliver quality projects on schedule and within budget. You will be responsible for providing the overall supervision, and scheduling of construction activities for a new build commercial project.

Key Job Duties:
• Responsible for on-site supervision and coordination of trades.
• Coordinate and supervise all construction activities on site.
• Ensure project is built according to specifications, project schedule and budget.
• Support construction schedule and identify and resolve any problems in a timely manner.
• Create recovery strategies when project schedule or budgets are at risk.

Key Qualifications:
• 5+ years’ experience working on commercial, institutional, and residential projects.
• Experience supervising projects with a focus on mechanical aspects.
• Technical diploma or equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
• Extensive knowledge of all aspects of construction such as technology, cost control, specification, scheduling, and safety requirements.
• Excellent communication skills are preferred.
