Our client is a leader in the global energy sector and are currently seeking a Contract and Procurement Assistant to join their team of experts. This position reports directly to the Senior Contract and Procurement Advisor and plays a crucial role within the procurement team. The role is a fixed-term contract starting in May 2025 and ending around July 2026, with potential to be extended.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently manage and execute all purchase order requisitions in the SAP system, ensuring all internal approvals are in place.
  • Handle new vendor setups and changes in SAP, adhering to internal processes, including verifying details over the phone as part of the supplier onboarding process.
  • Oversee the Procurement mailbox, responding to first-level enquiries and escalating complex queries to senior team members.
  • Assist Contract and Procurement specialists with tenders and contract enquiries.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to meet their daily SAP requirements.
  • Maintain master service agreements in the internal database.
  • Perform all relevant administrative tasks associated with the department.
  • Provide additional support as needed.
  • Opportunity to upskill and assist with contract management and negotiations for the right candidate.

Skills, Experience & Education:

  • Undergraduate degree.
  • Previous experience in a procurement role is preferred.
  • Understanding of basic contract forms, terms, and principles is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Working knowledge of SAP is preferred.
  • Proficient IT skills and familiarity with MS Office.
