TRS Staffing Solutions has exciting opportunities for a Contracts Administrator role to work for one of Canada's top employers and a global leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management industry.
Pay Range: $65 - $75/hour
Responsibilities:
- Ensure contract compliance and manage changes effectively, focusing on negotiating favorable terms and avoiding claims.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and progress, and coordinate approval of payment applications.
- Maintain clear and auditable contract administration files.
- Lead bid activities, including RFP explanation and bid clarification meetings, and manage bidder queries.
- Assist in developing project-specific contract templates and prime contract flow-downs.
- Negotiate contract terms and coordinate technical scopes of work across various project disciplines.
- Evaluate proposals, recommend awards, and develop final contracts.
- Resolve invoicing issues and manage subcontract close-outs.
- Develop contracting strategies, pre-qualify bidders, and create RFP documents.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7-12 years of experience in contracts management within EPC/EPCM, mining, or heavy industry sectors.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Law, or equivalent.
- The ability to interact with all levels of project teams (Engineering, Construction, Contracts, etc.) and clients.
- Familiarity with Canadian Bidding Law is strongly preferred.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites as required.
