Location: Kenosha, WI
Industry: Manufacturing (metal assembly)
Status of Hire: direct placement; permanent
Pay: $65k - $75k
Reports to: Engineering Manager
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare calculations on the proposed machine before completing technical drawings
- Sketch and draw up designs using input from engineers on the team
- Calculate factors like tolerance and dimensions
- Create designs in line with company procedures and client standards
- Submit drawings for team approval and production teams
- Use customer feedback and data to upgrade, improve or repair the company's existing product
- Provide support during the production and installation process, ensuring that the product is built properly and according to design specifications
- Finalize designs and send prints to the production department
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 2+ years' experience in Design role or related experience
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Extensive CAD knowledge AutoCAD Inventor preferred
- Strong computer and analytical skills
- Experience designing industry parts machined and sheet metal, assemblies and products with CAD
- Flexible approach to work and the ability to adapt to change
- Able to work in a team environment
- Self-motivated attitude and the ability to use initiative
