Overview
We are seeking an Electrical Engineering specialized in Medium Voltage and Low Voltage Electrical Systems. The organization handles Medium Voltage, all Low Voltage and DC Electrical systems related issues associated with gas producing facilities including Gas Compression Plants. The Electrical Engineer is expected to lead and monitor the efforts in troubleshooting and investigations while determining the root causes of failures for several types of electrical system related equipment, such as MV and LV Switchgears and MCCs, LV Transformer, DC system component, power panels, field LV loads, etc. In addition, the Engineer is expected to have full knowledge and experience in analyzing, surveying, and reporting organization’s Electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide day-to-day technical support to operations and maintenance to troubleshoot electrical system related issues.
• Develop, evaluate, and review electrical system engineering designs for reliability enhancements and required modifications/upgrades.
• Lead electrical system failures and trips investigation and produce the associated reports.
• Develop and maintain the reliability reports for electrical systems.
• Review the equipment historical data and conduct obsolescence and retrofitting studies.
• Develop and review Electrical system design packages.
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas industry operating facilities.
• Able to develop design packages and conduct studies related to MV and LV Electrical systems.
• Can propose and deploy electrical systems improvement technologies/solutions and innovative ideas.
• Must have Fundamental Engineering (FE) license and recommended to have a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
• Have the knowledge of international standards and best practices such as NEC, IEC, ANSI, etc.
• Are recommended to have a membership with internationally recognized technical societies.
• Have comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in electrical systems design, maintenance, assessments, studies, investigations, analysis, and optimization, troubleshooting, producing detailed reports and developing sound technical evaluations.
• Have knowledge in Electrical equipment shop and field repairs/maintenance.
