Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Location: Mumbai, India

Main Mission:

Core Functional Competencies:

• Prepare and review datasheets, specifications, material requisitions, technical bid evaluations, and vendor documents for electrical components such as motors, VFDs, transformers, DG, UPS, switchgears, lighting fixtures, small power & welding socket outlets, JBs, aviation warning lights, lighting & power panels, local control stations, electrical heat tracing, power distribution boards, lighting & earthing cables, power & control cables, and bulk materials (cable glands, lugs, lighting poles, cable trays, etc.).
• Design electrical equipment, including calculations for transformer sizing, DG sizing, UPS sizing, capacitor sizing, NGR sizing, cable sizing, and SKM/ETAP calculations for load flow, short circuit, and motor starting. Knowledge of relay coordination studies is required.
• Prepare and check key and detailed single line diagrams, control schematics, and layouts such as substation layout, power/cable routing layouts, lighting layouts, earthing layouts, lightning protection layouts, and MTO estimation. Knowledge of hazardous area classification layouts is essential.
• Conduct quality audits, site surveys, factory acceptance tests at vendor’s works, installation and testing at site, and pre-commissioning checks at site.
• Knowledge of international standards (e.g., API, ISA, IEC, ISO, etc.).
• Familiarity with DIALUX, ETAP, AUTOCAD, PDS, SP3D, and PDMS.
• Support proposal activities for various project bids and estimate budget for engineering hours based on the scope of work.
• Participate in the complete life cycle of the electrical discipline for greenfield or brownfield projects from start to finish.
• Interact with other disciplines, vendors, construction sites, and clients. Monitor and report progress.

Qualification and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
• 12-15 years of experience, with over 10 years in refining and petrochemical projects preferred.
• Design experience from reputed engineering companies, with at least 2 jobs as a lead engineer.
• Strong communication and management skills.
