JOB SPECIFICATION
- Support and promote high level of safety culture during all work and preparation activities.
- Key interface to drive the planned daily project Mechanical Completion and commissioning activities.
- Support interfaces with Construction, Client Commissioning and start up teams through the handover process.
- Manage and direct contractor commissioning team supervisors to execute the work in the field.
- Reports to Turnover Manager, member of Project Management team
- Key focal point for Turnover issues to support commissioning planning and execution.
- Must have a good Fluency of English to communicate with the Project team.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Candidate should hold a Degree qualification’ or equivalent education along with lead experience in the field of Systems completion and commissioning.
- Have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in MC completions and commissioning
- Demonstrable HES Leadership and personal commitment to Safety.
- Track record of experience gained in similar international projects, leading to the development of the following skill sets:
- Commissioning completions / certification of systems.
- Excellent knowledge of Commissioning and live plant safety procedures including PPE, JSA, WMS, SimOps, lockout/tagout,
- Strong technical knowledge in areas of. Commissioning and testing of High (10KV) and Low voltage 400V power distribution networks their supplies and dependencies to include but not be limited to: Power Generation, Main switchboards, MCCs, Transformers, AC UPS and DC Charger - battery supported recoverable power systems, Electric driven Motors and their control systems, small power distribution including lighting and heat tracing systems their protection and control methods.
- Review and Approve Contractor testing and turnover documentation
- Commissioning, testing and operation of multiprocessor type protection & monitoring relays / devices and their reference equipment (CTs, VTs, RTDs Etc).
- Experience in the use of test equipment, Primary and secondary injection test sets (Omicron -Relay tests), CT analyzer test equipment, battery load test equipment, Hi-pot test equipment, Handheld equipment (IR, Phase rotation, resistance, I, V, Hz Etc.).
- Experience in participation of Work scope HAZIDs and risk impact assessments.
- Resolution of Commissioning issues and Technical Queries.
- Previous experience of working with Permit to Work procedures and execution.
- Ability to work with interdisciplinary teams and communicate with discipline leads, vendor support personnel for specialized equipment and engineers.
- Must have a solid understanding of parallel commissioning execution with construction
- Computer literate and good proficiency MS Word, MS Excel is a basic must have.
