Engineering Manager

Our client based in the Hampshire area is currently looking for an experienced Engineering Manager with an ability to create functional designs and concepts which are state-of-the-art in the Life Science industry and Advanced Technology. As the engineering manager you will join the multi-projects team, projects vary from concept design to FEED, Detail Design or full EPCM. As an Engineering Manager you will be involved in all these projects to a greater or lesser extent. You will be the focal point for discipline lead engineers overseeing all aspects of engineering in a challenging environment with tight schedules and complex deliverables. This task requires a strong drive for results and a keen eye for profitability. The potential for helicopter view and strategic insight are a prerequisite, as well as the willingness to constantly learn and develop yourself. Projects will be typically small to medium size and can be located anywhere in Europe, covering a wide diversity of scopes and industries.
As the right candidate you will have the following:

• You have experience in the Life Sciences industry, especially pharmaceuticals, over the last 10 - 15 years of your career.
• You gained your experience within an engineering discipline like Mechanical, Process, Civil Structural, Electrical & Control Systems or Piping and are currently working in a leadership role as an engineering manager (or similar) and looking for the next step in your career.
• Willingness to travel within Europe to support the Advanced Technology & Life Science Projects.
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors.
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
• Proficiency in English, additional languages would be beneficial
• Site/Construction experience
• Professional Registration and Membership in Technical Society.
• Technical knowledge or previous experience in Advanced Manufacturing and/or Advanced Technologies
• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and significant work-related experience; a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required.
