Here is an exciting opportunity to join an environmental consulting company as a Environmental Professional/Project Manager in BC’s Northern Capital – Prince George! In this role, the qualified candidate will report into the Operations Manager and will be responsible for providing their knowledge and skills to contaminated sites assessments. The position will also require the successful individual to complete project reviews, development, coordination and execution (full life cycle of projects).
Job Duties:
• Field work and technical data collection, including soil, groundwater, and vapour sampling, with travel as required
• Develop proposals, manage projects and budgets
• Report preparation, including data review and supporting document creation
• Some business development and intention to continue developing a personal and professional network
• Mentor, teach and train junior staff
Qualifications:
• Diploma, certificate, or Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study, for example Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Environmental Technology, Agrology, Geology, Engineering, etc.
• 5+ years of experience in contaminated sites assessment and remediation, having actively completed Phase 1 and 2 ESAs, Stage 1 and 2 PSIs, DSIs, Remediation and related work, including a strong baseline of field experience and experience in project management and report preparation
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds
• The ability to work both independently or with a project team
• Excellent computer-based skills, including use of Microsoft Office products, email, web browsers, and online research
