Facilities Maintenance Lead

Our client, a leading EPCM with projects worldwide, is currently recruiting for a Facilities Maintenance Coordinator to join their team in Kitimat, BC. This candidate will be responsible for managing the standardization of maintenance, and installation techniques that are reuired in order to achieve cost reductions while maintaining levels of service.
In this very exciting role, the qualified individual will support the client by coordinating labour, material and other resources to carry out construction activities in accordance with the IFC plans and specifications. Some duties include allocating required work to contractors, coordinating with other site construction groups, ensuring project priorities for safety are accurately conveyed to the Site Services Management Team.
Job duties:
- Coordinates with area authority for permitting requirements
- Provides input to proposals relative to constructability
- Evaluates the effectiveness of project constructability programs
- Updates project information and maintains project files tracking cost, schedule and progress
- Reports Daily activities, reviews and approves contractor daily reports and LEMS
- Supoort the Site Wide Service Department with all scopes of work as needed
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering Technologist/Technician or Journeyman Trade Certification and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 8 years of experience coordinating field construction projects
- Minimum of 3 years experience managing subcontractors
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a supervisory position
- Considerable experience in temporary facility insallation, maintenance and removal, especially on Construction project sites
- Thorough knowledge of BC Building Code, Technical Safety BC, and WorkSafe BC requirements
