TRS is seeking a dedicated professional to join one of the premier EPC firms in India. This role is pivotal in maintaining the highest standards of Mechanical Execution works across our client's solar project sites.
Position: Mechanical Quality Engineer (Solar Projects)
1 Year renewable contract
Location: Lakadia, Gujarat

 

Job Summary:

This role is essential in ensuring that all mechanical components and systems in solar energy projects meet high-quality standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, quality assurance, and a passion for renewable energy.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance and Control:

  • Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures for mechanical systems related to solar projects.
  • Conduct inspections and testing of mechanical components to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for quality assurance processes, including inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance reports.
  • Prepare detailed quality reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in mechanical engineering practices and quality assurance protocols.
  • Lead root cause analysis for any quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with project teams, including design, procurement, and construction, to ensure quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate training and workshops on quality standards and best practices for team members.

Compliance and Standards:

  • Ensure that all mechanical designs and installations comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay current with relevant codes, standards, and best practices in mechanical engineering and quality assurance.

Supplier Quality Management:

  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and ensure timely corrective actions.

Technical Support:

  • Provide technical guidance on mechanical engineering aspects of projects, ensuring that all team members understand quality requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 0-3 years of experience in mechanical quality engineering, with a focus on solar or renewable energy projects preferred.

Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in quality management software and tools.
