Health & Safety Lead

HEALTH & SAFETY LEAD (CONTRACT FULL-TIME) - This is a 24-month contract position with the possibility of extension. This role leads and promotes safety and environmental procedures, engage the project team to improve the H&S management system, and implement H&S programs. Conduct risk assessments, provide training, document incidents, report metrics, and ensure legal compliance and environmental monitoring.

Employment Status: Independent Contractor
Site Location: Sparwood, BC 
Work Schedule: 8 days on, 6 days off
Working Hours: 12-hour shift, 6:00am-6:00pm

Qualifications:

• Certificate or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety preferred; however, relevant in-field mining or construction safety experience will be considered.
• Minimum of seven years of H&S experience in the mining and heavy construction industries.
• Understanding of the regulatory framework related to local, national, and international safety and environmental regulations.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office.
