HSE Manager

Here is an exciting opportunity to join a commercial and institutional construction firm as a HSE Manager in Edmonton, AB! The successful candidate will be joining a fantastic team of talented professionals in a position that boasts longevity, and good-natured work.

In this role, the qualified candidate will be responsible for overseeing all programs within the HSE function. The position will also require the successful individual to support HR and Operations with their management responsibilities.

Job Duties:
• Maintain COR certification, and ensure company meets OH&S regulatory requirements and employment standards set by government authorities
• Act as the Training Manager for field staff up to and including Superintendents
• Day to day management of Safety Coordinators activities
• Manage companies various pre-qualification systems keeping records and compliance up to date
• Yearly safety program continuous improvement planning

Qualifications:
• NCSO, or Gold Seal Construction Safety Coordinator Certificate or post-secondary in Occupation, Health and Safety
• CRSP preferred
• Previous construction industry experience, commercial experience preferably
• 5 – 7 years of construction safety experience
• Detailed knowledge of OH&S
