HSE Supervisor

An HSE Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of workers on construction sites. They are responsible for implementing safety policies, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a culture of safety within the workplace.

Responsibilities:

1. Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

   • Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
   • Evaluate risks associated with construction activities.
   • Develop effective strategies to mitigate risks and enhance safety.

2. Policy Implementation:

   • Ensure compliance with government regulations and industry standards.
   • Develop and implement safety policies and guidelines.
   • Monitor adherence to established safety measures.

3. Daily Supervision:

   • Supervise day-to-day activities on the construction site.
   • Monitor workers’ compliance with safety protocols.
   • Address safety concerns promptly.

4. Protective Equipment and Training:

   • Ensure workers use necessary protective equipment (e.g., helmets, gloves, welding shades).
   • Provide training and education on safety practices.
   • Ensure workers understand how to use tools and equipment safely.

5. Accident Investigation:

   • Investigate work-related accidents to determine their causes.
   • Develop recommendations to prevent recurrence.
   • Implement corrective actions based on investigative findings.

Qualifications:

• Education: A degree or certification in occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related field.
• Experience: Prior experience in construction safety or a similar role.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with local safety regulations and best practices.
• Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
