HVAC Engineer
Our client, a leading consultancy looking for an experienced HVAC Engineer to join them on a 12 month contract.

Duties include:

• Perform HVAC load calculations and applied psychometrics; size and prepare ductwork, equipment layouts, and piping designs (plumbing, fire water, chilled water, refrigerant).

• Size building utilities, including potable water, fire water, steam, plant air, instrument air, and sewage waste air requirements.

• Select HVAC equipment such as air handling units, chillers, condensing units, cooling coils, heating coils, steam coils, pumps, electric heaters, fans, cooling towers, plumbing fixtures, and firefighting equipment.

• Follow and apply various codes, standards, and handbooks, including ASHRAE Fundamentals, ASHRAE systems and equipment, ASHRAE refrigeration, ASHRAE application, ICC (IBC, IMC, IPC & IFC), SMACNA, and NFPA.

• Engineer, design, and build mechanical systems for buildings; collaborate with multimillion-dollar project teams through all stages from front-end engineering design to building completion.

Requirements:

• 10 years of experience in HVAC and Mechanical Engineering

• Must be well versed in HVAC load calculations
