Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer

Our client, a leading Engineering Consultancy with projects throughout Canada, is seeking an Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer to join their team in Courtenay, BC. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in geotechnical design and project management.

Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be involved with conducting geotechnical analyses, construction reviews, and field work related to the geotechnical area. They will develop geotechnical reports and engage in work associated with foundation design, retaining structures, slope stability assessments, seismic engineering and modelling, geohazard assessments etc.

Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geological Engineer or related education
- 5+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering with a focus on municipal projects including land development, roads, etc.
- P.Eng designation is a must
- Outstanding communication skills– written and verbal
