Land Administrator Position Description
Seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Land Administrator to join our team. The Land Administrator position will be a full-time in-office position. The Land Admin will support the Land department for the various entities owned and managed by firm. A qualified candidate must be able to work independently, though with ample support and mentorship, as needed, from other members of the land team.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and administer the transmittal and tracking of correspondence, contracts, check requests, and various oil and gas agreements
- Maintain and organize mineral, lease, division order and well records (physical folders, digital folders, BOLO software and company database)
- File, label, index and retrieve data and other pertinent information
- Manage recording of instruments in county records
- Generate check requests
- Correspond with external parties, including lessors, state agencies, non-executive mineral owners, and other parties closely associated with our companies
- Ability to complete general administrative functions and research for the Land and accounting team as needed
- Work closely with other members of land team to maintain data integrity
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of oil and gas experience as a Land Administrator or Technician
- Bachelor degree preferred
- Familiarity with common oil and gas contracts and agreements including leases, JOAs, division orders, title opinions, ownership reports, division orders, well AFEs, and various conveyances
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook & Power Point
- Strong oral and written communication skills necessary to present ideas clearly and effectively in one-on-one, group situations and through written correspondence
- Team player with strong initiative and ability to work autonomously to complete tasks
- Able to multi-task and manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
