Here is an exciting opportunity to join a major project in Kitimat, British Columbia as a Construction Coordinator Lead! You would be at work within a growing EPCM/construction firm with projects worldwide and joining a team of talented professionals all working towards one goal. This opportunity boasts longevity, a great work-life balance rotation of 14/7, and excellent accommodations.

In this exciting role, the qualified individual will report into the Area Technical Service Manager, be assigned to the construction team and provide technical support to craft and supervision, as well as help to satisfy the quality requirements on the project. The candidate will also be responsible for coordinating with other groups in the technical services and quality organizations to ensure that construction delivers the requirements to support other project team members.

Job duties:
-Provides technical evaluation of bid proposals.
-Coordinates the work of field engineers, drafters, technicians, and other personnel who provide assistance on specific assignments.
-Verifies construction, building permits, and licenses, are available ahead of the work front.
-Validates material take-offs and equipment forecasts prepared by WFP, as well as initiates and prepares requisitions for the procurement of services, necessary to support the project schedule.
-Coordinates completion of construction activities in assigned systems and assists construction and turnover with preparing punch lists to ensure the readiness of systems for release to turnover.
-Remains knowledgeable of safety policies and procedures and performs assigned duties in a safe manner and, while supervising others, has responsibility for their safety and ensures that they comply with established safety policies and procedures and practice safe work habits.

Qualifications:
-Engineering degree, technologist degree, technician diploma, or equivalent journeyman certification.
-Typically has 7-12 years of experience with progressive and varied experience in construction, technical, and engineering activities.
-Must have direct working experience on industrial projects with structural, mechanical, and piping disciplines.
-Strong interpersonal, listening and communications skills, capacity to build trust among internal and external stakeholders
