"TRS Staffing Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a LEAD ELECTRICAL ENGINEER to offer expertise in completing engineering projects by organizing and controlling various project elements for our Client based in CENTURION, GAUTENG.”
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Supervise engineers and draughts people in the electrical department.
- Design electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial and industrial purposes using computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
- Plan and implement research methodology and procedures to apply principles of electrical theory to engineering projects.
- Collect information, perform calculations and prepare diagrams and drawings of electrical installations and circuitry.
- Provides preliminary drawings and/or samples to clients for selection and approval
- Estimate labour, material and construction costs and prepares specification for purchase of material and equipment.
- Production of design calculations, sketch drawings, details of drawings using relevant software (Revit, Revizto, Dialux, ETAP, etc) including checking and reviewing of these prior to issue where completed by others.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar qualification.
- Registered with ECSA or any recognised professional body as a professional engineer.
- Experience of managing a team of junior and senior employees.
- Minimum 15 and more years in engineering design, management and Construction.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in performing electrical/mechanical design
- Extensive experience in design and construction of steel water pipeline, pump stations, reservoirs, abstraction works and water treatment plants.
- Legal knowledge of Employee Equity Act, Labour and Employment laws, OHS Act, Design compliance standards.
- Knowledge of MS Office, MS Project, various civil and water design software.
- Drivers Licence is Essential.
