We are looking for a Lead Package Drums Delivery for our client in Qatar. You will be responsible for Drums Package delivery in accordance with the Project schedule and the Project technical requirements. The scope consists of delivery of closed drain drums and flare KO Drums for the integration onto new offshore platforms at the construction yard. With solid technical and organizational experience with respect to pressure vessel fabrication and testing, you will identify risks and propose mitigation measures. 

Responsibilities:
•    Assisting with the novation to the EPC Contractor of the Drums purchase orders placed by Company.
•    Safely and efficiently supervising the activities executed by the Drum Supplier in close relationship with the EPC Contractor and the Project Team to ensure the highest level of quality and to secure on time drums delivery to the construction site. 
•    Ensuring that all procedures, design input, material, equipment inspections are reviewed, approved, delivered and implemented on time to support the delivery schedule.
•    Preparing and providing routine verbal and written progress reports to the Head of Project Engineering and Project Management team and closely monitoring progress performance of the drum supplier, immediately reporting any risk of delay and/or non-conformance to the Head of project engineering, also proposing mitigation measures. 
•    Directing work in full compliance with Standards of business conduct and Project Management System.
•    Understanding and familiarity of the Project scope and the technical, quality and safety requirements including the applicable regulations, the Project specific Design Basis and the Project Execution Plan.
•    Ensuring full implementation of Project requirements and control deliverables in terms of engineering, quality, schedule and HSE related to the Drum package.
•    Collaborating across disciplines (including Process, Structural, Piping, Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Quality, HSE and Procurement) to discuss and close pending items to proceed with fabrication.
•    Obtaining all necessary inputs required for timely and complete progress of all activities from design, fabrication, testing, transportation. Managing supplier/sub-supplier and supplier deliverables – understanding the deliverables required on the specific stage of fabrication/testing and ensuring they are available and approved as needed.
•    Managing kick-off meetings and pre-Inspection meetings – ensuring they are completed as required to start fabrication activities. Full understanding of the challenges with the supply of pressure vessels (design, procurement, fabrication, sub-Suppliers, welding, assembly, testing, handling, preservation).
•    Tracking Supplier fabrication schedule, being familiar with pre-requisite and duration of specific and critical activities. Anticipating and addressing any delays by proposing recovery/contingency plans and avoiding/minimizing any impact on Construction Site.
•    Close follow up of the interfaces between Company, EPC Contractor and Drum Supplier. 
•    Monitoring material acquisition including requisitioning, fabrication, testing and transportation of the drums.
•    Liaising as required with Company’s Technical Authorities (TA) and committees, and coordination of any management of change process (MOC) relating to the pressure vessel.

Skills and requirements:
•    Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred. (Advanced degree is desirable.) 
•    Extensive relevant experience as a pressure vessel delivery package lead/manager with good engineering practice applicable to the oil and gas industry. 
•    Understanding of the Pressure Vessel International Codes and Standards. 
•    Experience in working with EPC Contractors and Suppliers. 
•    In-depth knowledge of pressure vessel design and fabrication and understanding of the extensive testing requirements. 
•    Excellent spoken and written English. 
•    Strong technical and problem-solving skills. 
•    Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
•    Ability to work with different disciplines and people from a variety of cultural backgrounds. 
•    Strong organisational, planning and prioritisation skills. 
•    High awareness of safe working practices associated with pressure vessel design, fabrication and testing. 
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office.
