Location: Chesnee, SC
Status of Hire: full-time, direct hire, salaried with bonus
Pay: $75-80k base plus up to 10% annual bonus
Shift: days, but would be helpful if open to rotating nights as needed for coverage
Industry: metals, industrial processing/manufacturing
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the direction and coaching of skilled maintenance crews that include electrical, mechanical and instrumentation technicians involved in the maintenance of equipment, physical plant and utilities in accordance with state and federal regulations and company policy and procedures. This position reports to the Superintendent.
Job Duties:
•Ensures that equipment is performing effectively and efficiently
•Reviews deficiencies noted during corrective maintenance
•Provides technical guidance for the Infor CMMS
•Maintains and advises on the use and disposition of stock items and surplus items
•Promotes equipment standardization
•Consults with mechanics, electricians and other maintenance personnel on technical problems
•Monitors new tools and technology
•Develops standards for major maintenance overhauls and shutdowns
•Provides technical guidance for the technicians on preventive and predictive maintenance programs
•Monitoring performance indicators for maintenance team
•Optimizes maintenance strategies
•Coordinates closely with counterparts in other in-house organizations (i.e., Operations, Purchasing, Safety & Environmental)
•Promotes proper understanding of the maintenance function to other parts of the company
•Ensures that all technicians are properly educated and trained
•Has responsibility for delegating assignments to the appropriate personnel as well as auditing the performance of their team against, safety, environmental and maintenance procedures and KPIs
Qualifications:
•7+ years’ experience in an industrial maintenance environment (metals, chemicals, industrial processing, etc.)
•5 years’ experience working with CMMS or EAM systems
•Strong Leadership skills and ability to give a vision to the maintenance department and lead others in that vision
•Ability to calmly assess urgent production breakdowns and quickly develop action plans
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Ability to cope with multiple tasks in an industrial environment
•Ability to analyze business data and determine key performance indicators
•Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to determine a course of action quickly
•Associates Degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, Manufacturing, or similar is preferred but not a show-stopping requirement
**Must be authorized to work in the US regardless of visa transfer or sponsorship
**Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, physical, and background check to be eligible for hire
**Local candidates preferred though some relocation assistance may be offered
