Our client, a globally leading EPC company are looking for an experienced Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to join them on a Battery Materials project in Hampshire:
Responsibilities/requirements:
- Review project documentation: Study design documents, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), specifications, and procedures to understand the intended operation of mechanical systems.
- Mark up P&IDs for commissioning: Divide P&IDs into discrete systems and sub-systems based on function and flow paths, facilitating targeted commissioning activities.
- Develop commissioning procedures: Create detailed step-by-step procedures for flushing, cleaning, leak testing, calibration, and performance testing of each system and sub-system. Ensure procedures are compliant with relevant standards and project specifications.
- Review and comment on procedures: Collaborate with other engineers and disciplines to review and comment on commissioning procedures, ensuring technical accuracy, completeness, and safety considerations.
- Develop punch lists and pre-commissioning checklists: Identify and track outstanding construction and installation issues that need to be resolved before commissioning can begin.
- Coordinate with construction and other disciplines: Schedule and supervise pre-commissioning activities (e.g., flushing, cleaning), ensuring communication and alignment with construction and other disciplines.
