Mechanical Estimator

TRS Staffing Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Estimator to work for one of Canada's top employers and a global leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management industry.

Responsibilities:
 

• Follow established guidelines to create accurate project cost estimates.
• Utilize Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) effectively in the estimation process.
• Create and coordinate the estimation plan with the project team, as well as scheduling.
• Organize and prioritize personal tasks, and complete assignments as directed by management.
• Provide detailed and timely estimates to senior estimators, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
• Prepare or assist in preparing estimates for both office and field construction projects.
• Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:
 

• Holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with six years of relevant experience.
• Skilled in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access).
• Capable of effective communication with various stakeholders, including management, colleagues, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
• Possesses the technical expertise required for mechanical estimation tasks.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work efficiently and manage time effectively.
• Mining industry experience preferred.
• Able to understand and apply relevant local, provincial, and national regulations and guidelines.
• Experience in construction is a plus.
