TRS Staffing Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Services Engineering Lead to work for an amazing EPCM client in Vancouver, BC. This position comes with a great opportunity to work on medium to large sized projects.
Responsibilities:
- Design HVAC systems for process, electrical, and administration buildings.
- Participate in meetings, assign tasks, and coordinate with project teams and clients.
- Analyze fire hazards and design appropriate fire protection systems.
- Plan and organize jobs, maintain schedules, and estimate manpower needs.
- Develop project design criteria based on codes and client standards.
- Travel as needed to ensure project and department goals are met.
- Perform design calculations, prepare specifications, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Support audits and help develop departmental standards and procedures.
- Manage HVAC procurement, evaluate technical bids, and review vendor drawings.
- Coordinate HVAC requirements with other disciplines for space, structural support, and power needs.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Hold a four-year degree or international equivalent in engineering, along with 15 years of relevant professional experience; must have a recognized certification or registration in the field.
- Experience in the mining industry.
- At least 5 years of experience in HVAC, Dust Control, Fire Protection, or Plumbing within industrial settings.
- Professional engineering license (PE or P.Eng) in mechanical or a related field.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with management, colleagues, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage time efficiently.
