- Manage the project performance and ensure the project is delivered within the budget, on schedule, and as per contract requirements.
- Be accountable for the project budget, on-time execution and compliance with the contract and technical requirements. Coordinate with Manager - Production and Planning Manager for the allocation of resources on the assigned project.
- Provide updates on the project progress (to internal and external stakeholders) and propose forecasts to the assigned Project Plan Coordinator on a daily basis and identify variances from the project plan and communicate to the Manager - Production and client.
- Coordinate proper handover of the project documentation from the commercial section.
- Manage the project communication plan in order to assign duties, responsibilities, and spans of authority to project personnel.
- Prepare and manage risk mitigation plans for each project, communicate deviations from the initially agreed project plan to internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare project status reports on activities completed by collecting and analyzing information and trends.
- Implement and actively enforce compliance to work processes to ensure the health and safety of employees are under control and the protection of the environment is highly maintained.
- Focus on the department objectives and propose new initiatives in order to formulate strategies and suggest changes or improvements to current business plans, policies, and procedures.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education & Professional Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical or marine or any related field
- 4-6 years’ experience in Project Management from leading shipyard companies worldwide
- GCC or other countries in a similar business setting
- Good knowledge of MS Office and web applications
- Fluent in English - both written and spoken
- Strong Project management practices and techniques
- Strong knowledge of general repair, outfitting and fabrication operations and services
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering, hull coatings and steel repairs
- Understanding of QHSSE regulation
- Good knowledge of Quality Management Systems
