TRS is excited to offer an exceptional opportunity to work with a leading oil and gas technology licensor. Our client specializes in providing comprehensive solutions, including the conversion of oil and biomass into cleaner fuels, the production and purification of major petrochemical intermediates, chemical recycling of plastics, natural gas treatment, and carbon capture. Their diverse portfolio encompasses cutting-edge technologies, equipment, furnaces, modular units, catalysts, adsorbents, and related services.
As a Piping Designer within the Piping Engineering Team, you will be based at the Global Engineering Centre in Mumbai, India.
Roles & Responsibilities:

Plot Plan and Equipment Arrangement:
- Experience in preparing plot plans and equipment arrangement plans.
- Worked on mid-level to large-scale projects in the oil and gas and refinery industry.

Piping Study and Layout:
- Conduct piping studies based on design basis and plant layout.
- Proficiency in 3D design software such as SP3D and E3D.
- Familiarity with PDMS and CADWorx is advantageous.

Standard Piping Modules:
- Designed standard piping modules, including pump piping, column piping, exchanger piping, tank piping, vessel/drum piping, pipe rack piping, heaters/reformers piping, and modular concepts.

Piping Concepts and Analysis:
- Knowledge of various piping concepts, including steam tracing, jacketed piping, IBR piping, basics of pipe supporting, and stress analysis.
- Consideration of piping and equipment operation and maintenance requirements during layout development.

Isometric Drawings and Quality Improvement:
- Proficient in isometric drawing extraction and checking.
- Conduct clash and consistency checks for piping.
- Prepare line lists and interconnecting P&IDs (Process and Instrumentation Diagrams).
- Determine nozzle orientations for equipment.

3D Modeling and Review:
- Model piping, equipment, structural-civil, electrical, and instrumentation items using 3D design tools.
- Conduct model reviews using Navisworks Freedom and simulate scenarios.

Bill of Materials (BOM) and Deliverables:
- Extract BOM for piping items.
- Review and check modeling quality.
- Perform various checks to enhance the quality of piping deliverables.
- Collaborate with vendors and other disciplines by co-checking and commenting on drawings.

Understanding of P&IDs and Instrument Hook-Ups:
- Conversant with P&IDs and their impact on piping engineering.
- Consideration of instrument hook-ups and structural drawings.
