Our client, a leading manufacturing and maintenance company is searching for a proven change agent leader that is committed to making a difference to join their team as the Plant Manager in Fort Worth, TX.
The Plant Manager of Fort Worth will be a critical addition to the success of the Rail Maintenance Services strategy and delivery to our customers.
DUTIES:
• Developing the processes and team and sustaining a level of excellence in delivery for our customers.
• Establish functional business plans and technical project objectives to meet the short- and long- term goals of a production or warehousing organization
• Exercise leadership with respect to production volume, cost and quality of production; meeting production and delivery dates.
• Manage the day to day direction of plant operations leadership team, including superintendents, foremen, and supervisors.
• Direct auxiliary functions within a plant to support manufacturing operations: material control, tooling engineering, estimating, purchasing (MRO).
• Responsible for maintenance of plant and production facilities, including preventative maintenance program.
• Forecast labor requirements and recommends equipment and layout changes.
• Establish changes in production methods or material handling procedures for overall excellence.
• Maintain compliance with Company policies, safety standards and good housekeeping practices.
• Work with QA team to ensure that products meet customer standards
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering preferred
• 7+ years manufacturing operations management and supervision experience required
• 5+ years manufacturing repair facility experience or similar environment
• 5+ years manufacturing continuous improvement experience
• Ability to analyze and interpret blueprints and production drawings and plan cost efficient work procedures that meet quality requirements
• Demonstrated leadership in creation of a plant environment that supports the community as a vital neighbor
• Leadership in creating a production team that is engaged with minimal turnover
