Location: Greenville, SC (Remote and/or hybrid)
Contract (6 months +)
General Description:
Operating under detailed instructions and review the purpose of this position is to provide the essential technical knowledge and perform the work listed. The purpose of this position is to work on design and perform 3D layout of complex scope and may serve as Design Area Lead.
• Prepare 2D Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings of advanced complexity
• Review drawings and vendor equipment documentation of advanced complexity within the discipline and from other disciplines for compliance with project requirements, and actively seek discrepancy resolution
• Perform bulk material take-off analysis and tabulations
• Adhere to industry codes and standards as well as department practices and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
Education and Ideal Requirements:
Preferred Semiconductor experience would include experience in foundation mat design of large structures and/or minimum of 5 years’ experience in design of a fab superstructure or other large industrial concrete building.
• Design/collaboration with precast vendors for precast design emulation of concrete superstructures, including waffle slabs
• Working with consultants to design to vibration criteria VC-C or higher;
• Fabroom floor loading requirements and allocating loads for laterals and MEP distribution
• Column spacing vs tool requirements vs deflection criteria
• AMHS support; shear walls
• Seismic design considerations as it relates to laterals and MEP systems
