Job Summary: The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing processes for steel EPC projects. This role requires a deep understanding of process engineering principles, strong project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the process design and development for steel EPC projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct process simulations and feasibility studies to evaluate the performance and efficiency of proposed processes.
- Develop and review process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
- Perform process calculations, including mass and energy balances, to support design and optimization efforts.
- Specify and select process equipment, ensuring compatibility with project requirements and standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Provide technical support during the procurement, construction, and commissioning phases of projects.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve safety.
- Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and documentation to clients and stakeholders.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in process engineering, with a focus on steel industry EPC projects.
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, CHEMCAD).
- Strong knowledge of process design principles, equipment selection, and industry standards.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
