Project Accountant

Our client is a major player in the infrastructure construction industry and are seeking a Project Accountant to join their team in Windsor, ON. In this role you will support the Accountant and the Finance Manager with daily and monthly accounting tasks.

Key Job Duties:
• Verify and process expense reports and process payroll through a 3rd party provider to pay employees
• Manage Month End requirements such as financial reports, and creating receivable invoicing
• Ensure all Balance Sheet accounts are reconciled with supporting documents monthly
• Controls expenses by receiving, verifying, and entering invoices for goods and services received
• Manage bank reconciliations and semi-monthly cheque runs

Key Qualifications:
• University degree in Business or Accounting
• 3-5 years’ experience in accounting performing month end reconciliation, general ledger and payables
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Experience with ECMS is an asset
• Thoroughly understands basic accounting principles
