The position is for our client's Calgary office and offers hybrid work mode.
Salary Range: $70-$90/hour
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with planners, schedulers, and the project team to develop a forecast for project cash flow.
- Partner with finance and procurement departments to meet project objectives.
- Assist the project team in revising cost reports received from construction firms.
- Help project stakeholders detect cost overruns through variance analysis and enforce change management procedures to keep the project scope under control.
- Contribute to project cost estimation and facilitate the approval of project funding.
- Establish and standardize the project control system, ensuring it integrates with the business management system.
- Conduct analysis of data for cost trends and project performance evaluation.
- Aid Business Improvement by managing the annual budget and producing monthly reports.
- Possession of a degree or diploma in fields such as engineering, accounting, finance, or business, along with a certification in project management.
- A minimum of five years’ experience in a Project Control position, with a track record of leading multiple projects.
- Knowledge of Primavera would be an asset.
- Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting, cost control, application of cost systems, planning, and progress measurement.
- Strong capabilities in planning and analysis.
