We are currently seeking a high-caliber Proposal Specialist - Marketing for a temporary basis within our client’s team of experienced professionals. Located in Garden Grove, California.

Essential Functions:
- Develops prequalification and bid proposal package preparation and submissions as requested.
- Establishes and maintains file structures for project specific Request for Qualification (RFQ) and Bid Proposals.
- Manages client generated RFQ and documents, Southland developed response, and final submission documentation within file structure.
- Manages bid proposal preparation including, but not limited to, scope, resumes, project lists, organization charts, and any collateral/support documentation. Assists with developing deliverable list, timeline for document preparation, submission requirements and responsibilities and final package submission.
- Partners with internal clients and team members to develop Power Point presentation design and content.
- Partners with Marketing to develop and implement tools and procedures to ensure future project documentation is published and maintained according to Southland standards.
- Compiles and coordinates with Marketing team to maintain project data to be used for press releases, project profiles, and case studies for print and website use. Coordinates media opportunities and trade show scheduling with Marketing.
Qualifications:
- Good project management skills with ability to meet assigned deadlines.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Ability to write, edit and proofread content.
- Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
- Competent in MS Office and MS Visio; Adobe Creative Suite experience required.
- Works under general supervision.
- Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgement.
- This role does not supervise employees.
- Bachelor’s Degree in English, Marketing or Communications required or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in writing, editing and researching to prepare, print and submit online technical documentation, including preparation of proposals.
- Project management experience preferred.
- Experience in Engineering or Construction industry preferred.
