Role description:
Due to on-going growth and a strong pipeline of work, our client's Perth based team has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Civil Designer. You will be working on a range of large-scale global and local projects for some of their reputable clients.
Role accountabilities:
You will be a valued member of the civil team and responsible for design and documentation from the schematic stage through to detailed documentation of a wide range of Civil projects.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Developing technical drawings for all aspects of civil design including bulk earthworks, roadworks, drainage, and interfaces with other disciplines
- Detailed design and coordination for selected projects or components of projects, collaborating with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design.
- Provide technical expertise and advice across all stages of the project lifecycle
- Managing effective stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally
- Working with and mentoring junior designers and drafters and guiding them in delivery and their professional development.
Qualifications & Experience:
This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, team orientated individual, capable of working effectively in a dynamic environment.
Key skills and experience we are looking for include:
- Demonstrated technical acumen with proven experience of producing design solutions using software packages such as 12D and MicroStation
- Extensive civil design experience across mining and infrastructure projects.
- A collaborative approach and appreciation of the value of teamwork.
- A passion for continuous improvement, quality and improving service for our clients.
- High attention to detail with good analytical and communication skills.
- Capacity to lead and mentor junior designers across technical and project delivery aspects.
