Senior Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to our client in Calgary, AB. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying their extensive knowledge of electrical engineering principles to design, develop, and implement electrical systems for various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently prepare or review ETAP or SKM models.
• Conduct demand load calculations, voltage drop calculations, and cable tray fill calculations.
• Ensure compliance with Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and international codes, standards, and approved practices.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and engineering interns.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.
• Participate in project planning, scheduling, and budgeting activities.
• Conduct site visits and inspections as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registration with a recognized engineering association.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on oil and gas facilities.
• Proficiency in ETAP or SKM electrical engineering software.
• Strong knowledge of CEC and international electrical codes and standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
