Job Description:

Position: Senior Electrical Engineer

Location: Kolkata, India

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage electrical engineering projects from concept through completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
• Develop and review electrical designs, including schematics, layouts, and specifications for high voltage substation projects.
• Conduct feasibility studies, technical evaluations, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential issues.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, civil, and process engineers, to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
• Participate in client meetings, presenting technical solutions and project updates.
• Oversee the commissioning and start-up of new electrical systems, ensuring smooth and efficient operation.
• Continuously monitor and improve existing electrical systems to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve reliability.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering and implement best practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the power, industrial, or infrastructure sectors.
• Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
• Strong knowledge of electrical design, power distribution, and high voltage systems.
• Experience with project management and leading engineering teams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., IEC, IEEE).
• Ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with advanced electrical control systems and automation.
• Knowledge of sustainability practices and energy efficiency improvements.
