Job Description:
Position: Senior Electrical Engineer
Location: Kolkata, India
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage electrical engineering projects from concept through completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Develop and review electrical designs, including schematics, layouts, and specifications for high voltage substation projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies, technical evaluations, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential issues.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, civil, and process engineers, to ensure integrated project delivery.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
- Participate in client meetings, presenting technical solutions and project updates.
- Oversee the commissioning and start-up of new electrical systems, ensuring smooth and efficient operation.
- Continuously monitor and improve existing electrical systems to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve reliability.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering and implement best practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the power, industrial, or infrastructure sectors.
- Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
- Strong knowledge of electrical design, power distribution, and high voltage systems.
- Experience with project management and leading engineering teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., IEC, IEEE).
- Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with advanced electrical control systems and automation.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices and energy efficiency improvements.
