Senior/Lead Estimator

TRS Staffing Solutions has an exciting opportunity for Senior/Lead Estimator to work for one of the leading infrastructure and energy companies in Canada. The work location is in Toronto, Ontario. We are also open to candidates in Vancouver and Edmonton, if you are ok with making frequent travels to Toronto. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze engineering drawing and specifications using required technical abilities
• Support overall management from pre-construction to completion phases of major rehabilitation projects
• Responsible for bidding on rehabilitation of aging utility vaults, pipes etc.
• Maintain positive relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors etc.
• Responsible for coming up with project estimates and set-up documents
• Provide proposal documents for submission
• Attend and prepare project site meetings
• Identify, communicate and correct any unsafe workplace actions or conditions
• Provide assistance in creating preliminary budgets for change order pricing

• At least 5 years of direct working experience in estimating piping rehabilitation projects
• Must be able to lead estimating process from beginning to end
• Proficiency in understanding technical specifications and engineering drawings
• Strong competency in MS Suites
• Strong working knowledge with HCSS and Bluebeam
• Experience with projects involving SIPP and CIPP is required.
• Skillful in negotiation
• Excellent communication skills (both reading and writing)
• Valid driver license
