Senior Process Engineer

TRS Staffing Solutions has an exciting opportunity to work on the permanent roles of a European EPC company headquartered in the Czech Republic as Senior Process Engineer. The location will be Kolkata in West Bengal.

Job Description:

Position: Senior Process Engineer

Location: Kolkata, India

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage process engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
• Develop and optimize process designs, including process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
• Conduct feasibility studies, process simulations, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential issues.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers, to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
• Participate in client meetings, presenting technical solutions and project updates.
• Oversee the commissioning and start-up of new process systems, ensuring smooth and efficient operation.
• Continuously monitor and improve existing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in process engineering and implement best practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in process engineering, preferably in the chemical, petrochemical, or oil and gas industries.
• Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, CHEMCAD).
• Strong knowledge of process design, optimization, and safety principles.
• Experience with project management and leading engineering teams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., ASME, API, OSHA).
• Ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with advanced process control systems and automation.
• Knowledge of sustainability practices and energy efficiency improvements.
