TRS Staffing Solutions has an exciting opportunity to work on the permanent roles of a European EPC company headquartered in the Czech Republic as Senior Process Engineer. The location will be Kolkata in West Bengal.
Job Description:
Position: Senior Process Engineer
Location: Kolkata, India
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage process engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Develop and optimize process designs, including process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
- Conduct feasibility studies, process simulations, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential issues.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers, to ensure integrated project delivery.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
- Participate in client meetings, presenting technical solutions and project updates.
- Oversee the commissioning and start-up of new process systems, ensuring smooth and efficient operation.
- Continuously monitor and improve existing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in process engineering and implement best practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in process engineering, preferably in the chemical, petrochemical, or oil and gas industries.
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, CHEMCAD).
- Strong knowledge of process design, optimization, and safety principles.
- Experience with project management and leading engineering teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., ASME, API, OSHA).
- Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with advanced process control systems and automation.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices and energy efficiency improvements.
