- To assist and support the Offshore & Marine Department during Offshore Engineering, Construction & Maintenance, Diving, ROV and Survey operations to achieve set Strategic Business Unit (SBU) objectives.
- To assist and support Offshore & Marine Department in the preparation of tenders, and more specifically the drafting of technical procedures, Method Statement, drawings calculation, analysis and the like.
- With safety as a priority, the Installation / Project Engineer provide assistance and support in ensuring all diving, ROV and Survey tenders, operations procedures and project works are in compliance with set standards and rules; and assist in controlling SBU costs and budgets by means of ensuring effectiveness and efficiency in all operations and activities.
- To follow projects in Engineering and Construction (Offshore / Onshore) fields, collaborating with other departments, conducting tests, assessing production performance, monitoring project progress
Roles & Responsibilties:
- Prepare / issue story board, method statement, instalaltion procedures, calculation note, seafastening calculation, structural analysis and reports, sketches, drawing & lifting plan;
- Review equipment specifications for in-house and hired equipment, converse with suppliers to ensure plant and equipment are compliant. Monitor pricing and cost;
- Attend project client meetings / briefings and prepare draft and final reports for MWS inspections, Clients’ construction projects and diving / ROV / survey / inspection projects.
- Ensure project execution is within budget and schedule of the project scope and ensure compliance with corporate standards and guideline;
- Work with multiple discipline projects and monitor fieldwork activities, as well as organize minimum subcontractors on a daily basis;
- Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications;
Qualifications:
Education & Professional Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Marine Engineering or any related field
- 5 to 10 years experience in Project Engineering (detailed phase) from leading EPCIC companies
- 3 years of which in a managerial or supervisory role
- GCC or Europe Preferred
- Fully conversant with MS Office and web applications.
- AutoCAD and other Engineering software (Orcaflex, Sacs, Mose, Abaqus…)
- Oracle applications
- Strong Knowledge of mechanical, stuctural, and SURF
- Proficient in FEA modelling strong knowledge of OrcaFlex software
- High degree of understanding of diving equipment, and operations (air and saturation), and how they are used to enhance project scheduling
- High degree of understanding of Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV) and Survey operations
- Strong knowledge of related health, safety, security and environmental regulations
- Good understanding of Quality Management Systems, such as ISO 9001
