Responsibilities:
- Partner with pre-construction teams to manage budgeting and initial planning stages.
- Join project handover sessions from pre-construction.
- Schedule and lead trade buyout meetings and kickoff meetings for trades.
- Create the project execution plan and timeline, and allocate manpower and resources.
- Examine the main contract with the client's representative.
- Confirm subcontractors and finalize subcontract agreements.
- Develop and oversee the project schedule, document control procedures, and quality assurance plan.
- Monitor the project's productivity and performance.
- Handle project accounting, issue purchase and change orders, and produce monthly financial and project reports, as well as regular updates.
Qualifications:
- Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma in Engineering or Construction Management or related discipline (equivalent of education and experience may be considered)
- 5+ years’ project management experience in commercial/industrial construction
- PMP and Gold Seal certifications an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Procore, and relevant project management software.
- Knowledge of construction process, drawings/blueprints, specifications, schedules, budgets and project management methodology
- Competently manage the design and construction process from project start up to project closeout for small to mid size projects with varying complexities
